Riding Ponies
Garden Vale Stud began breeding Riding Ponies in 1998, with our first foal being “Garden Vale Classic Edition”.
Basically we wanted to breed over height Riding Ponies that had the Thoroughbred looks with the Riding Pony nature.
All our current progeny and breeding band hold the “Rosevean Galeforce” line.
This stallion was an absolute gentleman of a stallion, who stood at Greg and Mike Smiths “Smithfields Stud”.
All his progeny have wonderful natures.
Our most recent progeny have a double cross of “Rosevean Galeforce”lines, with the line coming through on the mare and stallions side.
This year sees us turning toward Welsh breeding, attempting to breed coloured Riding Ponies with excellent natures.
We will also be using our resident stallion “Diamond Fuelled” to our Riding Pony mares this season, as his progeny have all had wonderful looks and temperaments. We believe this line will be something special to look out for in the near future.
