Garden Vale Stud began breeding Riding Ponies in 1998. We decided we had
some lovely Thoroughbred mares that had lovely temperaments, and it was time
to do some breeding to get some above height Riding Ponies
“Garden Vale Classic Edition” Penny stands at 15.2hh and won many Champion Hack awards for Sue. She is very much like her mother Kallise. No one would expect her to be a riding Pony as she looks very much like a thoroughbred . Sue competed with her in the hack ring for 3 years and completed a successful career winning Champion Show Hunter Hack Led and Champion Ridden Show Hunter Hack at Greenbank show in 2005. To date Penny has produce 1 foal – Classic Image (who is for sale).
“Smithfields Stylish Memories” born in 2000 won champion Led Show Hunter Galloway at her first and only show, and has been retired to stud. This mare is so much like her mother it is amazing. She has the same nature and looks as her mother Stylish Lass– she is a sentimental favourite for Sue. Molly is in foal to a lovely Buckskin Welsh Stallion – Äntrim Limerick” in the hopes of producing a buckskin riding pony for our show team. This is her first foal
“Smithfields Desire” Dee was lightly shown in Small Galloway hack events and successfully won many ribbons before being put in foal. She has produced 3 lovely chestnut foals for the stud, and all have been sold to wonderful homes. Garden Vale Hearts Desire, Garden Vale Something Special and Garden Vale Heaven Knows. She will be put in foal this year to our resident stallion Diamond Fuelled
